Assi is the southernmost Ghat in Varanasi. This Ghat was built by Lords Vishnu. According to Hindu mythology Lord Shiva along with Parvati came to Varanasi before Vishnu grant him his wish. Man Mandir Ghat
Man Mandir Ghat is a Ghat on the banks of River Ganga in Varanasi. This Ghat was built by Maharaja Man Singh. This Ghat is a major tourist attraction in itself. Chet Singh Ghat
Chet Singh Gaht was the site of the 18th century battle between Maharaja Chet singh who ruled in Varanasi. This Ghat is also known as Khirki Ghat and this Ghat is now divided into four parts such as Niranjani Ghat, Nirvani Ghat and Shivala Ghat. This ghat is fortified Ghat and has imprints and memories of India’s freedom struggle. The famous BudhwaMangal festival which is celebrated for seven days is organized here.
